Teide by Night isn’t one of those tours where you get bundled into a bus, dropped somewhere dark, and told, “Look up.” It’s a paced evening pick-up, volcano landscapes, sunset, dinner, telescopes, constellations with guides who lead you through the night rather than leaving you to negotiate it alone.
This is what you’ll actually do, step by step, from the moment you book to the moment you’re back at your pick-up point stars still stuck behind your eyes like a good song you can’t shake. Book your Teide Stargazing Tour with Teide By Night.
Step 1: Book your Stargazing tour (simple, quick, secure)
Booking is designed to be straightforward, especially for travellers doing everything on mobile.
What you’ll enter when booking
You’ll select your language and add:
- Hotel / accommodation
- Date
- Number of adults and children (children are 0–11 years)
How you pay (and what appears on your bank statement)
- You can pay by Visa, Mastercard and Visa debit cards
- The site is secure and uses industry-standard SSL encryption
- The payment shows on your card statement as Elegant Excursions S.L.U.
If you have trouble paying
Most payment issues come from:
- Incorrect CVV or expiry date
- Not enough funds / card limits
- Your bank blocking the payment due to unusual activity
- Using a card type not accepted (Visa/Mastercard/Visa debit are the safe bet)
If you still can’t pay online, you can contact the team by email or phone to ask about alternatives.
Step 2: Get your e-ticket + pick-up information by email
Once your booking is completed, you’ll receive an electronic ticket (e-ticket) by email.
What the e-ticket includes
- Booking confirmation / booking number
- Your pick-up point
- Your collection time
- Reservation details
Do you need to print it?
No. You can show your ticket digitally.
Didn’t receive your e-ticket?
If you don’t receive the confirmation email, please check your spam or junk folder, as it may have been filtered there. It’s also possible that an incorrect email address was entered when completing the form.
If you still don’t receive an email, it usually means the reservation was not completed or has not yet been accepted. If the payment was made and the ticket has not arrived, please contact the team by email or phone for assistance.
Step 3: Pick-up (North Zone or South Zone)
Teide by Night operates with multiple collection points, and pick-up logistics depend on the area and the language of the tour you book.
How do you know your pick-up time and pick-up point?
After making your reservation, you’ll receive an electronic ticket (e-ticket) by email, there you will find all the information about your pick-up time and pick-up point.
Where do you collect customers?
- There are many pick-up points depending on the area and tour language.
- Either your accommodation or a nearby central meeting point within walking distance of your accommodation.
- Your pick-up point appears in your email confirmation after booking
- You can access a map showing how to get there from your hotel
Does the tour finish at the same place?
Yes. You’ll be dropped off at the same place as your pick-up point.
Why do you need my phone number?
In case the team needs to contact you on the day of your excursion like traffic delays or urgent operational issues.

Step 4: The drive into Teide National Park (the landscape changes)
As the bus climbs, the island transforms. Coastal lights fall behind you, the air turns sharper, and the terrain starts speaking in volcanic shapes; dark rock, wide horizons, and that feeling you get when you realise you’re going somewhere higher than the day.
Your guide will:
- Set expectations for the evening’s flow (sunset → dinner → stargazing)
- Share context about the park and the sky (without making it heavy)
- Help the group settle in and get ready for the altitude
Step 5: Stops inside the National Park (space to breathe, look, and take it in)
The tour includes stops within Teide National Park, giving you time for photos, fresh air, and views that don’t fit properly in a phone camera.
Is there time to go up the cable car?
No. Teide by Night does not take the cable car, and there isn’t time to use it during this experience.
This is important because many visitors imagine the tour includes the summit. It doesn’t, and that’s okay. The magic here isn’t the peak. It’s what opens above it.
Step 6: Sunset above the clouds (the turning point)
Teide at golden hour is not subtle. Depending on conditions, you may watch the sun drop over volcanic silhouettes while the sky slowly shifts from warm to deep. It’s the moment when people stop talking and not because they’re told to, but because they don’t want to break it.
What to wear (this matters, even in summer)
Teide is high mountain altitude, and temperatures can drop sharply after sunset, even in summer.
Bring:
- Warm clothing / layers
- Sports trainers / comfortable shoes
Step 7: Dinner included (three courses + wine + water)
After sunset in winter, and before sunset in summer, the tour moves into its warmer chapter: dinner.
Does Teide by Night include dinner?
Yes, dinner is included:
- Three-course dinner
- Wine + water
Allergies / intolerances
The menu can be adapted if you notify the team:
- Add it in remarks when booking, or
- Email the team ahead of time

Step 8: Stargazing begins (telescopes + guided night-sky storytelling)
Now the lights are gone, and Teide becomes what it’s famous for: a window to the universe.
This is where the tour shifts from scenic to cosmic. The guides lead the stargazing session using a professional laser to point out constellations and trace their shapes across the sky, making them easy to recognise with the naked eye. At the same time, powerful telescopes are used to explore deeper celestial objects, such as star clusters, nebulae and planets. Revealing details invisible to the eye alone.
Do you offer tours in different languages?
Yes. Teide by Night runs tours in:
- English
- German
- French
- Dutch
Each tour is guided in one single language only. ( the language selected at the time of booking) We do not mix languages on the same bus, ensuring a clear and fully immersive experience for all guests.
Step 9 — Why Tenerife (and Teide) is so good for stargazing
Where to stargaze in Tenerife?
Tenerife is exceptional for stargazing thanks to:
- Clear skies (often)
- High altitude
- Low light pollution
And Mount Teide National Park is considered one of the best stargazing locations on the island for a guided night-sky experience.

Can I see the Milky Way from Mount Teide?
Yes, especially during the summer months, when the Milky Way core is more visible from the Northern Hemisphere. Teide’s clear skies, altitude, and low light pollution create excellent viewing conditions.
What’s the best time of year?
Any time is a good time to visit! Each season brings its own wonders: different constellations light up the sky, and the changing weather creates unique views. In August, the Perseids meteor shower adds an extra touch of magic, but no matter when you come, the night sky over Teide is always unforgettable.
Which Canary Island is best for stargazing?
Each island has great sky potential, but Tenerife stands out as a top choice thanks to:
- High altitude
- Excellent viewing conditions
- Strong astro-tourism experience options (like guided stargazing tours)
Other islands such as La Palma and La Gomera are also excellent for stargazing.
Step 10: Practical realities (seats, toilets, families)
Can we book seats on the bus?
Seating is in order of arrival. Front seats can be reserved in advance only for guests with mobility difficulties.
Do the buses have toilets?
No onboard toilets, but the tour includes stops where you can use facilities.
Do the buses provide infant car seats?
No, infant car seats are not provided.

Step 11 — Return journey + drop-off at your pick-up point
At the end of the stargazing session, you’ll head back and finish at the same place you were collected.
It’s the kind of ending that feels quiet and satisfying: the bus hum, the dark road, and a sky that still follows you—because once you’ve really seen it, it doesn’t fully leave.
What to bring (quick checklist)
To enjoy the tour comfortably, bring:
- Warm clothing / layers (high mountain—cold even in summer)
- Sports trainers / closed footwear
- Camera (or a phone with night mode)
- Optional: a small bottle of water
Anything else you might want to know (changes & cancellations)
